Item Description
Each is published by Reilly & Lee Co. First is 7x8.75" "Gasoline Alley" copyright 1929. 96 pages including covers. This is the only Frank King reprint book to reprint actual complete newspaper strips. Several are in single panel format and include 1921 examples with Skeezix as a baby making Gasoline Alley the first comic strip in which the characters aged normally. Covers have scattered wear and aging. VG. Last inside blank page has creasing with a tear at upper left otherwise pages are clean and VF. Next two titles are each 7.25x9.5". First is "Skeezix and Pal" copyright 1925 with 116 inside pages. Covers have wear and aging, inside cover seam is pulling loose. Overall VG. Wonderful specialty art with storyline about Skeezix and his dog. Next title is "Skeezix Out West" with 118 pages copyright 1928. Wonderful specialty art with Skeezix and Uncle Walt touring the great American west. Covers have lt. handling wear. Fine. Inside pages clean and Fine. Nice examples with Frank King story and art at its best.
