Item Description
Each is 5.5x7.75" hardcover with dust jacket. Page count ranges from 220 to 264. First title is "Don Winslow U.S.N. in Ceylon" copyright 1934 published by Rosenow Chicago. Flyleaf page has bold fountain pen inscription "To My Friend Bill Pinney With Best Wishes Cordially F. V. Martinek Chgo Ill - 11/1/37." Next four titles are Grosset & Dunlap series books. 1940s titles are: "Don Winslow Of The Navy" and "Face To Face With The Scorpion". 1941 editions are "Saves The Secret Formula" and "Breaks The Spy Net". Dust wrappers have scattered edge wear with a few pieces out here and there. Overall Good. A few books have gift inscriptions otherwise books themselves are Fine/VF. Lieutenant Commander Martinek created the Don Winslow comic strip in 1934 and these books are a testament to its popularity. Autographed book comes with Hake's COA.
