Item Description
10.25x15" slick paper with four pages. Issued just four months after the strip made its debut October 4, 1931. Front cover has classic image of Dick Tracy in trench coat with gun drawn. Two inside pages reprint 1931 Sunday pages and back cover reprints three daily strips from 1932. Issued by Chicago Tribune newspaper syndicate. Back cover reprints promotional letter from New York Daily News circulation manager including text "This Strip Is Going Over Big In New York. In Fact I've Heard More Favorable Comment On This Strip Than On Anything We Have Ever Used." Small splits along fold lines neatly repaired on inside with archival tape. Third and fourth page have top margin edge tanning from cellophane tape no longer present. Overall VG. Historic and rare. Limited distribution to newspaper comic strip editors.
