Item Description
Lot of three all from 1930. The first movie club began Jan. 11, 1930 at Fox Dome Theater in Ocean Park CA. First and foremost in this lot is club inauguration announcement folder. 7x9" w/four pages, border design and interior printed in blue. This design includes small Mickey/Minnie images. Imprint for Lompoc, CA theater. Extensive/detailed text on all four pages relating to the club. Includes images of club card and first club button featuring a primitive looking Mickey. Announcement by Mayor Whittemore. Back includes list of local "Official Mickey Mouse Stores." Lt. aging, .5" tear on top margin. VF. Rare club related item. Next is "Mickey Mouse Theme Song" sheet music in same format as the announcement folder but w/printing all in black. This was a special issue also for Lompoc theater w/verse just for them on the back cover. Front has imprint of "Lind's Bakery" and mention of their Mickey/Minnie inspired food products. Lt. aging, very faint corner crease. VF. Final item is not movie club related and just included as a bonus to this lot. 9.5x12" English sheet music for a totally different Mickey theme song. Written by Harry Carlton. Cover notes "Cartoon Reproduced By Kind Permission Of Ideal Films." Aged, repair to 1" tear at one corner. VG.
