Auction #205 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1426 in auction 205
Item Description
6-7/8x9" new service photo of a very young Hank Aaron as a Jacksonville Braves Minor League player in full uniform and posing in batting stance. This is from the year before making his Major League debut for the Milwaukee Braves. Reverse side has pencil notation including "2nd Baseman 1953". A superb image of this HOF member and one of the greatest baseball players of all time would make history April 8, 1974 by breaking Babe Ruth's home run record. Early and historic photo.
