Item Description
See Ferdinand Horvath sea monster art with bio #2217. Art is for Silly Symphony cartoon released Feb. 24, 1939 directed by Dick Rickard. 9.5x12" sheet of animation paper has second sheet measuring 5x6.75" glued in center as done by the artist. Wonderful image done in lead and colored pencil has image of Big Bad Wolf wearing long blond wig using mirror on his hat to apply lipstick. Art is signed "Horvath" in lead pencil at lower right. Margins of image area have gray showing through from glue on reverse, rest of image area is Exc. A superb example of Horvath's work which is seldom found signed.
