Item Description
Tight lead and color pencil art for fourth image of page which appeared in March, 1937 issue. 10x12" sheet has 5.25x6.5" image area of Hiawatha being startled by bear cub. Art is attributed to Tom Wood. Margin edges have lt. aging, borders have a few lead pencil lines, two margin edges have tiny bit of applied paper tape not affecting image area. Sheet has very faint lt. vertical crease through center, otherwise image area is clean and VF. The cartoon was released on May 15, 1937. Humorous and superbly drawn.
