Item Description
18.5x21" frame contains sheet of original marker animation that has been matted to 9x11.75". Shows woman smoking cigarette in front of "No Loitering" text. Word block below reads "The Beatles - She Said So/I Feel Fine - John Lennon And Steven Verona's Original Artwork For The World's First Music Video. The 2-1/2 Minute Film Comprised 240 Hand-colored Cels." This hand-colored cel is #202. Artist and filmmaker Verona did the art and Lennon even hand-colored some of the cels, but we are unsure if this cel was colored by Lennon. Verona created pop-art cartoon images for every word of the song. The finished film was shown at The Museum Of Modern Art in New York City and won several awards including the CINE Golden Eagle. Verona would go on to make hundreds of music videos as well as work in the film industry and was also nominated for an Academy Award. NM as professionally framed and matted. A superb and unique Beatles display piece. Comes with full color, limited edition portfolio containing a copy of the scene-by-scene sequence of cels used in the video.
