Item Description
13.75x22" cardboard for April 22, 1967 concert at Berkeley Community Theater, CA. Poster design by Dennis Lo and band photo by Joel Brodsky. Includes "Atlantic Records" name below image and while the band cut a record for this label, it was never released by them. Arguably the first underground rock group of all time, the Fugs formed at the Peace Eye bookstore in New York's East Village in late 1964. By breaking lyrical taboos of popular music, they helped pave the way for the even more innovative outrage of the Mothers of Invention, the Velvet Underground, and others. Slightest margin aging/corner tip wear. Exc.
