Item Description
Colorful and imaginative toy. c. mid-1930s. 3.25x4.75" base w/different character art on all panels featuring Wimpy, Olive Oyl and scene of Alice the Goon punching the Sea Hag while holding Swee'Pea. Overall height is 9.5" when Popeye figure is placed in position by means of wire rod emerging from roof. When built-in key is wound, Popeye dances while Olive rocks from side to side while seated on "Spinach" case. Base and Olive Oyl show lt. wear, with a few scattered pinpoint paint scratches/nicks. Popeye figure has faded shoulders and arms. Fine. Face is aged. VG. Working example.
