Auction #206 - Part II
Item numbers 1279 through 2976 in auction 206
Item Description
2.75x6.25" mostly hand-written check is dated Oct. 19, 1935 and made out to Sawelson Wholesale Co. for $19.44. Check has been boldly signed in black ink, w/Burroughs adding his "Tarzana" address and phone number. Check has typical cancellation holes and a .25" ink stamp beside signature. Reverse has cancellation stamp. Light handling wear, but VF appearance overall. Signature remains bold and Exc. Burroughs was quite an active writer during this period including writing both "Tarzan And The Leopard Men" and "Tarzan's Quest" as well as "Lost On Venus" in 1935. Would make a great display with a Burroughs photo or book cover. Comes with Hake's COA.
