Item Description
8.25x10.5 typed letter on "The Longest Day" letterhead is dated July 22, 1962 and is addressed to a Zanuck fan and notes that he is working on his latest film, "The Longest Day," the now classic war film starring John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Robert Mitchum and Sean Connery. Zanuck goes on to say that he cannot invite addressee to the film's premiere, but that he would gladly arrange for him to attend a screening at the Warner Theatre in New York City. Signed in black ink. "Darryl F. Zanuck Productions, Inc." text at bottom. Zanuck (1902-1979) was a three time Academy Award winning film producer, responsible for films such as - "All About Eve, The Grapes Of Wrath, Tora! Tora! Tora!, The King And I" and many more. Thin onionskin letter has been folded twice as mailed and shows some lt. scattered wear/aging. Fine. Signature remains bold and Exc. Great piece from one of Hollywood's most legendary producers. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
