Item Description
3x6.5x5.75" tall tin litho piano has attached tin litho figures - 6" seated in chair and 7.5" dancing w/banjo. c. 1930s. Toy is lithographed on both sides and front of piano and all three sides of chair show male and female minstrels. Toy works well, one figure dancing and moving his banjo around while other figure's chair moves up and down, causing hands to move around on keyboard. Music lithographed on front of piano above keyboard is "Dixie Blues." Wear to toy mostly centers where parts move including lower legs of banjo player and where hands touch banjo top and bottom, piano player has most wear on sides of coat where he goes up and down in the chair. Piano itself has few scattered paint nicks. VG/Fine. A nice, displayable example of this classic toy.
