Item Description
Old wood frame with minor wear is 15.5x19.5" and has image area of 8.75x11.5". Hand-colored print has exceptionally wide margins with 1" hairline tear on far left margin and .5" at very top margin. Very minor traces of some gray tone on margins but overall exceptionally clean. Beneath Frelinghuysen's full name is text: "Hurrah! Hurrah! The Country's Risin' For Harry Clay & Frelinghuysen.! Beneath this is "Lith & Pub. By N. Currier, 2 Spruce St. N.Y." Actually much scarcer than most jugate designs showing both men and Currier prints are rarely seen with large, apparently uncut, margins.
