Item Description
1930s. 4.75x5.25x23.5” long thin cardboard box has nice graphics on two sides of policeman and boy saluting and two boys w/tommy guns. Scarce box has end panel wear. Fine image on one side, the other side image is a replaced photocopy piece. 23" long pressed metal mechanical gun w/wooden stock has identical "Gangbusters" theme image on each side subtitled "Crusade Against Crime" plus Marx logo. Front grip has an eagle badge design with Gangbusters text. Gun winds by key on right side causing rat-tat-tat sound. Circular simulated bullet magazine revolves. Has flint sparking action, but flint is missing and can easily be replaced. Litho parts have scattered wear/aging. Fine. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
