Ornate 33x46.75" frame contains ©1925 Christy Bros. Shows poster w/superb graphics. Graphics include - baboon jockey tempting tortoise to win race with a bee attached to a string, African native racing warthog, monkey jockeys racing Greyhounds, African jockeys racing ostriches, and chimpanzee pilots in two zeppelins and two early airplanes. One zeppelin is marked "Shenandoah," the first US Navy airship (USS Shenandoah ZR-1) that went down in Oct., 1925. The other zeppelin is marked "Z-R-3" and references one of Shenandoah's three sister airships. Airplanes are marked "Christy" on sides. Wear to frame with a few tiny .25" chips. Fine. Poster has not been folded and has a 1.25" strip of color-matched tape along right margin that blends nicely. Upper right corner has been restored, with 1" area of illustration replaced and .75x3" and .75x5" color-matched strips of paper form corner. All blends. A few tiny dots of staining along right center margin, but overall, poster displays VF. A superb circus poster, ready for display.
