Item Description
12.75x20x6.75" cardboard box designed like a suitcase w/carrying handle. Box contains 33" tall ventriloquist dummy by Juro Celebrity Dolls. c. 1960s. Doll has separate head w/handle and features jaw and eyes that move via pull strings. Padded fabric arms/legs w/high quality fabric outfit and plastic hands/shoes. Lightest trace of wear to head. Exc. Box shows lt. wear to corners and handle. VF. Paul Winchell was an American ventriloquist, voice actor, comedian, inventor, and humanitarian, whose entertainment career flourished in the 1950s and 1960s. From 1950-1954, he hosted "The Paul Winchell Show," also known by two other titles during its run, "The Speidel Show" and "What's My Name?" From 1965-1968, Winchell hosted the children's television series, "Winchell-Mahoney Time." Ventriloquist dummy comes w/what appears to be a complete course from the "Fred Maher Course In Ventriloquism." Several pages have bw photo images of ventriloquists w/dummies. Another interesting item is a Fred Maher "Ventriloquial Figures" dummy catalog and other catalogs and testimonials. Great and extensive accompaniment to Jerry Mahoney.
