Item Description
Lot of 17 pieces. First are three 1-7/8x3.5" notepads featuring Gil Elvgren art and same gas station imprint. Staple rusting, but unused and o/w Exc. Next is 4x5.5" die-cut card holding 28 "Scoldy Lox Glamour Guards" bobby pins. Card features drummer majorette art by George Petty. Card has moderate age spotting and pinhole at top center. VG/Fine. Next are 12 ink blotter/calendar cards measuring 3-3/8x6.25" and all w/matching imprint. Great pin-up art by Earl Moran. For full 1944 year, issued monthly. Unused and Exc. Last is 5.5x8" folded card that fully opens to 16x22" and features five different pin-ups by Earl MacPherson, including large Christmas-related w/model in Santa-like outfit posing w/snowman. Entitled "Nursery Rhymes For Grownups," was issued by the Midway Candy Co. Fine/VF. All c. 1940s, lot features four of the most popular pin-up artists of the day.
