Item Description
This piece is 2.25x2.75" of brass with tin backing on the photo frame. The hanger is designed as a flowing ribbon with his name at top center. Reverse has horizontal pin and two small dots of solder holding a brass link chain to a brass loop on the back of the photo frame. The paper photo is done in an unusual printing style with the tiny brown half tone dots slightly raised above the surface and then an absence of brown dots forming the highlights on his forehead and cheek. These areas are totally complete as printed. The only defect is a tiny dark spot along the lower left outer edge. We do not know if the piece is 1888 or 1892 but it is a rarity and comes from the Sen. Charles Dick Collection. Extremely Fine.
