When this book was published in 1974 as a softcover, 100 were converted to a red hardcover and signed and numbered by Ted Hake with an ink stamp of his business address. This book is #48 of those 100. However, this is an ex-library copy and has been given a different hard cover. Other than minor adhesive marks on the spine and some library stickers on the end papers, the only defect is black ink marks over McKinley item #127. The book is 8.5x11" with 256 pages all in color. Contents include campaign history, technical facts and statistics, illustrations of over 4,000 pin-back buttons and similar small items for candidates McKinley through 1972 plus a section devoted to third party candidates. This all color edition has long been out of print, although the black and white reprint of this book as well as Books II and III and the 2004 Revised Prices Supplement are available on Hake's website or call 866-404-9800 extension 1612.
