Item Description
35x116.5" stone lithographed weatherproof muslin banner for outdoor use. 1942 Columbia Pictures serial starring Robert Stevens and Nell O'Day. Serial tells the story of Canadian trading post which is attacked by the previously peaceful Indians. Sergeant MacLane investigates and finds that the attackers were really white bandits who have conspired w/an Indian medicine man, who persuades a number of rebellious braves to take the warpath. Bandits have also kidnapped Nell O'Day's character. Nice visuals of Mountie and woman at left pursuing Indian and bandits at right. Man in burning cabin in bkg. shoots at Mountie. Brass grommets at margins as made for hanging. Missing top two center grommets, with .5" and 1" holes. 2" tear at upper left corner. Banner was folded and has some wear along fold lines with some small tears at fold crease intersections. Heavy and obvious moisture staining/aging, but main image remains bright and bold. Good/VG.
