Item Description
First is a beautiful 11/16" brass and enamel lapel stud with threaded cap on the reverse. This reads "Roosevelt/Johnson" and features raised brass head of a bull moose. This is Hake #3367 with 2004 value of $120. Second is a 1.25" wide shield shaped die-cut piece of celluloid picturing full figure of a bull moose in the wilderness beneath the text "Roosevelt And Johnson." This is shown as Hake #242 but that example has a red small ribbon above. This example has no ribbon and there is a tiny flake of celluloid off what apparently was a loop area on the top edge plus an additional pair of pinholes between the letters of names at the top center. The reverse of the piece has text reading "Progressive Commercial Traveler's Association/Get The Order." This has a Hake guide value of $448. The third item is unlisted in Hake. It is a small brass pin-back die-cut in the shape of a bull moose head with a tiny dark red glass bead eye and with the initials of the candidates along the neck line "R & J." Exc. Three rare pieces with very modest opening bid.
