Item Description
1.75" picturing Abbott and Costello w/"Lou ‘I'm A Bad Boy’ Costello For Mayor Of World's Fair Midway." Below their pictures is "Abbott For Commissioner Of Laffs." Back paper reads "Streets Of Paris Lucky Number. Lucky Button Numbers Will Be Posted Each Evening Outside Of Michael Todd's Hall Of Music." By matching the number on the back of your button you would be entitled to admission to the performance of Streets of Paris. Rare w/original back paper. Exc. and glossy w/Exc. back paper. Button comes w/original flyer for button promotion which reads "Button, Button Who's Got The Lucky Button?" w/more details on the "election" of Abbott & Costello. "Abbott And Costello Now Appearing In Michael Todd's Streets Of Paris Are Distributing Campaign Buttons. Make Sure You Get Yours And Keep It!" It also states that Abbott and Costello will be at performance. Flyer has small blue-tone inset photo of them at a CBS microphone. Flyer has been folded horizontally three times and has two holes where button was pinned in top margin w/some very minor rust soiling at rim. .75x1.5" moisture stain at very middle of page. Back has some spotting and dust soiling to sides exposed when folded. Fine. Rare w/original back paper on button and flyer.
