c. late 1950s rhinestone outfit w/elaborate/colorful embroidery on both coat and pants. Both have "Nudie's Rodeo Tailor - Hollywood California" labels sewn into them. These labels are the style w/the "Nudie" girl wearing a vest. It was at Dale's request that the previously used bare-breasted "Nudie's" label not be used in any of Roy's clothes as she clearly didn't want Roy wearing any clothes w/nude women on the inside. This well-tailored/high quality jacket (size 38-40) has brightly colored red, green, gold and purple embroidery on front/back/sleeves all surrounded by many glittery rhinestones. Buttons on the cuffs and front of jacket. Fully lined. The blue pants (approximately 32-34" waist by 32" inseam) have matching embroidery/rhinestones down the front. Bright red piping accents the pockets/belt loops and each loop is highlighted w/circle of rhinestones. Elastic stirrups are attached at cuffs. Coat and pants remain bright and clean. Exc. The consignor obtained this outfit from the estate of Michael Bright, who was a personal friend of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. This outfit was given to him as a gift by Roy and Dale. In a July, 2010 sale at Christie's of the Roy Rogers Museum similar "Nudie" outfits sold in the $5,000-10,000 range. A great opportunity to obtain this well-made, unique outfit that was actually owned and worn by the "King of Cowboys". Comes with Hake's COA.
