Item Description
39.5" tall. Full body Roy Rogers sits astride rearing Trigger. Beautifully sculpted, cast in composition and hand-painted in oils. Real likeness of Roy Rogers and Trigger. Roy is made as a separate figure but sits on Trigger's saddle as designed. Nice detail to face and cowboy outfit. Details also include "RR" stirrups and professionally crafted replacement metal spurs. Replaced ribbon reins. Saddle area and seat of Roy's pants have had professional restoration and include an attached wooden dowel which is inserted into Trigger's saddle and holds Roy in place. Tail suffered large break and tuft of Trigger's forelock had break as well, both have been professionally restored and repairs blend nicely. Pictured in 1959-1960 Roy Rogers catalog. Beautiful, large and clean example of exciting store display. Attached to "V" shaped wood support as made. This is then mounted atop 12x42.5x6.75" tall wooden "Roy Rogers Corral" box stand/base. Text on either side has Roy's "RR" initials brand before and after text. Wonderful color, wonderful detail. An exceptional item for this cowboy legend. Displays Exc. We have previously sold an example of this display w/o the base for $4,638. This is the only known example of this display w/the base and this very example previously sold at auction for $9,000.
