Item Description
1-7/8" tin rim holding glass which is silvered on each side to appear as a normal mirror. However, when held to light a large image of a woman with floral accents and the product name appears. The side of the tin rim reads "Out Of Sight/Howe's Pat App For." Much of the word "For" is obscured by a .5" long oxidation spot on the side rim edge also showing a little on one top side edge. There are a couple of minute glass slivers off the extreme outer perimeter of the glass on one side but hardly noticeable and causing no real damage. The image displays crisp and clearly when held to light. A rarity both as a pocket mirror and as an early 1900s beer advertising give-away. First we've seen.
