Item Description
Beemer was an American radio actor and announcer at Detroit radio station WXYZ. He became "The Lone Ranger" announcer soon after its first broadcast in 1933 and also appeared in costume as The Lone Ranger in public because station owner George Trendle felt that Earle Graser didn't look the part. Beemer was the voice of The Lone Ranger from 1941 to the last episode in Sept., 1954. He also portrayed St. Preston of the Yukon on the radio for a brief time after "The Lone Ranger" series ended. 8.5x11" handwritten letter on "The Lone Ranger Inc." ©1948 letterhead has been written by Beemer to noted autograph collector Lucy Stroup (comes w/photocopy newspaper article about her hobby) and mentions enclosed signed photo. Letter has been folded as mailed and is o/w Exc. w/bold signature. 8x10" publicity still shows Beemer as "Lone Ranger Astride Hi Yo Silver" and has been signed in blue ink "To Lucy C. Stoup And Her School Pupils. Good Luck Always - Brace Beemer." Still has some tiny hairline cracks to surface emulsion and corner tip wear. Fine. The definitive Beemer autograph lot. Comes with Hake's COA.
