Item Description
8.5x11" onionskin paper hotel menu bill issued July 30, 1953 while John Wayne was on location filming "Hondo," which was directed by John Farrow. The screenplay was based on the 1952 short story "The Gift of Cochise" by Louis L'Amour. The film was shot in the Mexican desert state of Chihuahua. This bill was for the Hotel Hacienda Vista Hermosa in Tequesquitengo, Morelos, Mexico. Back of bill has been boldly signed "Good Luck, Mrs. Slezak - John Wayne." Bill has been folded once vertically and horizontally and has a 4.5" crease to top. Fine w/large 4" wide signature on reverse. Signature displays Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
