Item Description
5.5x11.75" thin paper handbill for Nov. 3, 1963 concert in Leeds, England at the Odeon. This concert took place just before The Beatles made their first historic trip to America, where they proceeded to take the nation by storm. While already a hit w/British audiences, this concert had Peter Jay and The Jaywalkers as an opening act and also featured The Vernon Girls and The Kestrels. Postal Booking Form at bottom is unused and designed to be removed to be sent away for tickets by mail. Handbill has heavy and obvious wear/moisture staining and has missing pieces at top. Scattered surface paper lift along upper right margin. Just Good, but an early Beatles concert piece. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
