Item Description
1-5/8" dia. enamel on heavy brass belt buckle with thread attached pair of 5.5" tall ribbons. The white ribbon has text in Japanese and there is a light moisture stain on the left side from about the midpoint to the bottom but it shows little. The text translates to "Japan/U.S. Baseball Match/New York Yankees." The buckle has two columns of Japanese text on its reverse with the date of "1955" below. The buckle is very high quality and essentially in Mint condition. The Yankees vs. All-Japan Stars tour opened in Osaka and continued over six weeks during which they went 24-0-1. Rare.
