Item Description
8x8.5x1.25" deep wood frame surrounding painted cardboard bkg. upon which are mounted two individual layers of glass that bear the images and produce a 3D scene. Depicts baby black Pegasus from "The Pastoral Symphony" sequence of the 1940 Disney animated feature. Back has original large bw paper label explaining how Disney uses the multiplane technique in his studio. These were produced by Courvoisier Galleries for sale as representations of the Disney art form. This is No. 14 in the series. 1940s. Label on back has scattered wear along edges, traces of tanning and moisture staining but not affecting any of the text. Reverse has metal loop for hanging. Frame shows small scattered traces of wear. Frame is Fine overall, actual multiplane is Exc.
