1.75x2.75" Venezuelan cigarette series card with game action photo front and text back describing the scene. Issued by tobacco company "E. Quintana" with cigarette advertising on the back. This uncataloged set consists of a few hundred cards w/subjects including baseball, boxing and others. There are five different Dihigo cards in the set, and he is the only Hall Of Famer to be included in this issue. However, it is this card that is the true highlight of the set because of the photo image of him not only in a great running action pose but because the name "Hilldale" is clearly visible on the front of his jersey. This card is the only known example in the hobby which pictures a Negro League HOF member in his Negro League uniform. In fact, there are only four cards known to picture a Negro League player of any stature in a Negro League uniform. Text on back regarding the photo reads "Dihigo Es Out En Primera Base." This is the only graded example of this card extant. Other Dihigo cards from this set have sold at auction for as much as $15,000.
