Item Description
First is a choice color paper portrait captioned on the bottom margin with his name and lower right corner has copyright date of 1942. This is Mint. Next are 34 different buttons with the smallest being 7/8" and the largest 1.75". We'll describe these row by row as per our photo. Row 1 begins with a rare portrait button which has spring pin holding accent ribbon. The fourth and fifth in the row are notably scarce but the fourth for "MacArthur Field Day June 7, Central Park" has tan rim stain and the "I'll Do My Best" has two small 1/16" scratches at right. In row 2 the first has tiny dirt speck under the celluloid. The second is a litho and the fifth is a litho. In row 3 all six are lithos with a .5" scratch on the last one. In row 4 the first two are lithos. In row 5 all are cello with .25" air spot on the third one and pinpoint indent on top edge of the fifth one. In row 6 the first is standard design "America's Hero Gen. MacArthur" but on the second with the same design and same photo the text has changed to "MacArthur For President." This does have some air spots under the cello and the slightest bit of tantone on the left and white panels. Remaining three in the row are cello. In the bottom row are a pair of identical "The Man Of The Hour" with the second having a faint dot on right side. Next is rare larger version of the same button. The group finishes with a sepia portrait button.
