Item Description
Large 10" tall tin litho w/11" dia. opening. Produced in 1936 by Geuder, Paeschke & Fry Co. of Milwaukee, WI. They produced two different waste baskets as well as the classic Mickey Mouse lunch kit. This one features Mickey atop a mountain looking off into the distance. Gathered around him are Minnie, Pluto, Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle. The other waste basket this company produced featured these same characters in a boating scene. See page 96 of Disneyana by Munsey for this company’s items. Scattered wear, mostly to rim w/interior having a few small areas w/bare metal showing. Exterior remains bright and glossy. Fine overall. Very rare, this is only the second example we’ve offered in our 46 years, this example being in better condition. A true Disneyana rarity.
