Each of these is 7/8" and all but the last in row 3 are complete with their Phila. Badge backpaper. The first eight are from the movie serial titled "Tarzan The Tiger." This was released in 1929 and each includes the film title along with the text "Universal's Gigantic Chapter Play." This was a set of 15 and eight of those are in this group. These are: Anteater, Ape, Dodo, Giraffe, Lion, Pangoline (scaled anteater), Rhinoceros, Tiger. There is a little variation in the background color tone of button in row 2 #2 but all display very glossy and six of the eight are NM to Mint. The final three in this group are from a Universal movie serial based on the book The Ivory Trail by Talbot Mundy. This serial titled "The Jungle Mystery" was released in 1932 and is now considered lost. A set of ten buttons was issued to promote the serial with text reading on these three "Jungle Mystery Club No 1 Set Of Ten; Number 9 Set Of Ten; Number 10 Set Of Ten." The first animal appears to be a hippopotamus while the second and third are lion and giraffe. All three are NM displaying Mint. Very scarce buttons with a very conservative opening bid.
