Item Description
Lot of five differently designed plaster statues, measuring between 7" and 9.5" tall. All c. 1938. Three statues depict Ferdinand sitting on his hindquarters while the remaining two have him standing on all four, on on a base w/flowers, the other just standing on his feet. While some carnival statues can be a bit crude, these are very nicely produced examples, four of them accurately depicting Ferdinand in correct colors and four of them depict him holding a flower in his mouth. Two w/fabric flowers in mouth, one is painted green and has nice glass eyes. Scattered dust soiling/aging and tiny paint nicks/wear. Appearances remains Fine-VF. An instant collection.
