Item Description
3.5x4x4" tall painted cast metal depicting Mickey comfortably resting in a chair. His hands are outstretched, legs crossed and his tail drapes around the back of the chair. Raised text on body includes his name and Disney copyright. This is variety w/lt. blue pants and orange/cream buttons. This figure was made in different color varieties, w/different pants/buttons color combinations. From a c. 1932 exceptional series of Mickey and Minnie metal figures, some of which were designed as useful objects such as ashtrays, playing card containers, banks, etc. Marked "Germany" on underside. Small spot of paint flake on palm, back of chair has five .25" flakes. Other small scattered paint flakes but overall about 95% paint remains. Figure remains glossy and bright. VF. All items in this series are scarce and this particular figure is among the most sought-after. In past auctions we have sold these seated Mickey figures in excess of $4,000.
