12X17.75" sketchbook page has nice large head and shoulder illustrations of Batman & Robin by Batman creator Bob Kane. Page also comes personalized. This piece comes from the original owner whose father, a TV repair man, fixed Bob Kane's TV set and asked for an autograph. Instead of an autograph, Kane drew a sketch of Batman & Robin for his sons Neil and Alan. When the father asked for a separate sketch for one brother, Kane crossed out Alan's name from the first sketch offered here and then sketch a second. Dated 1968. This piece comes with original owner’s letter stating story and a photocopy of both sketches, one for each son. Page has been removed from sketchbook and has some aging. Margins has some tape residue from mounting but these do not effect image and could be easily mounted out. Batman ear has a faint .5" stain which does not detract greatly from image. Back of sketchbook has a preliminary caped figure sketch. A great piece by Batman's creator. Would look Exc. framed.
