Item Description
Near set, 23 of 24 issued. Each is 7.25x8" with choice animal portrait at center. Issued in 1930, these were obtained by sending in the circus animal lids (see item #2731). These pictures were only produced for the first 24 numbered lids, not the extended set of 24. All are variety w/animal name below image (see next item #2733 for no name variant issue). Includes: Sheetah The Tiger, Queen The Elephant, Zira The Panther, Daniel The Chimp, Sammy The Sea Lion, etc. Missing only Caesar The Lion (see next item). Scattered trace of aging/tanning and margin wear. Overall Exc. to Exc./NM. Rare opportunity to obtain this many pictures at one time.
