Item Description
Lot of three 8.5x11" magazines published by Art & Soul Publications and Electric Factory Concerts. Included are issues #1-2 and 4 of the first volume that were printed and handed out for free at all Electric Factory concerts. Printed Summer, Fall-Winter 1972 and Summer 1973. Electric Factory Concerts is the name of a longtime Philadelphia-based concert promotion firm, affiliated w/the Electric Factory venue in that city. Its first concert staging was on Feb. 2, 1968, at the old Electric Factory and featured The Chambers Brothers. It survived the closing of the original Electory Factory venue and went on to prosper, becoming prominent in promoting concerts at all venues in the Philadelphia area, including many at the Philadelphia Spectrum. Included within the pages of these magazines are numerous ads/features for albums and artists, some of note include - The Moody Blues, Jethro Tull, Elton John, Grand Funk Railroad, The Kinks, Cat Stevens, Frank Zappa, Chuck Berry, The Doobie Brothers, Dr. John, The Pointer Sisters and also includes photos from concerts including Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Foghat, Johnny Winter and The Grateful Dead. Varying degrees of handling wear w/color rubs to covers and pinch creases to spine. Fine overall w/clean contents (w/exception of one page in last issue that has moderate soiling) that are VF overall.
