2x2-7/8" embossed card has small but bold and distinct ink signature of Earhart, the American aviation pioneer and author who was the first aviatrix to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She received the US Distinguished Flying Cross for this record. During an attempt to make a circumnavigational flight of the globe in 1937 in a Lockheed Model 10 Electra, Earhart disappeared over the central Pacific Ocean near Howland Island. Her disappearance remains a mystery to this day. Card is lightly aged and has surface paper remnants on reverse from scrapbook mounting. This does not affect signature's display, which remains distinct and VF. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
