11.5x17" thin artboard featuring original pen and ink w/Zip-A-Tone shade accent art by comic artist Steve Lightle for "Legion Of Super-Heroes" issue #14 published by DC Comics in Nov., 1985. "Unto The New Generation" story was written by Paul Levitz w/interior art also by Steve Lightle. Lightle co-created Tellus and Quislet, who are pictured on the cover, along w/Power Boy, Energy Boy, Comet Queen, Mentalla, Magnetic Kid, Polar Boy, Dev-Em, Sensor Girl and two unnamed aplicants as well as two flying fish characters who are not mentioned by name. Stat at top of reads "The Heat Is On! Who Will Be The 5 New Members Of The Legion Of Super-Heroes" text. This issue featured Tellus, Quislet, Polar Boy, Magnetic Kid (LSH founding member Cosmic Boy's younger brother) and Sensor Girl (longtime LSH member Princess Projectra in disguise) joining the LSH. Art is complete w/paste-on DC indica at upper left corner, paste-on title and names of creative team. Various inked notations on margins and signed in ink by Lightle at lower center.
