Item Description
33.5x45.75” gold accent wood frame without glass c.1940s has print w/canvas texture resembling original painting. Wonderful image has men in colonial costumes seated around table listening to General talk of his exploits while holding tankard of ale. A Pabst tavern sign is visible outside window. Image is signed Geo. Hinke at lower left. Lower right corner has “Courtesy Pabst Breweries” text in script. Illustrator Hinke is known for various Christmas-related books including “Jolly Old Santa Claus”. Frame is a bit worn, bottom of image area has a few small scattered white scuffs. Fine. Impressive size.
