© 1930. 8.25x22.5” thin art board has six panels in India ink for June 8. This topper strip for “Abie The Agent” has Hector the pup trying to get adopted. He winds up in a room full of other adopted dogs, gets in a fight, and jumps through a window breaking the owner's lease. Panel four has “Hershfield” ink signature along w/ applied Int’l Feature Syndicate copyright sticker. Exc. “Homeless Hector” was Hershfield’s first successful comic strip, done before “Desperate Desmond” and “Abie The Agent”. Nice ink work. From the Jan Wahl collection.
