Item Description
18x20" frame contains check dated Dec. 7, 1982 and made out for $257.22 to law office of Bushkin, Kopelson, Gaines & Gaines for "Legal Services Thru 10/30/82." Check has been filled out and signed in black ink and has been double-matted to 2.5x5.5". According to Gene Simmons' book "Kiss And Make-Up," Van Halen approached Simmons in 1982 about possibly joining Kiss, replacing Ace Frehley. According to Simmons, Eddie did so chiefly due to his personality conflicts w/Van Halen vocalist David Lee Roth. United California Bank is Edward Van Halen's personal check and bears skull and crossbone design by name/address at upper left. Exc. Check is framed w/a classic photo print of Eddie shredding on his trademark guitar in concert and has additional brass plate w/etched "Original Document - Eddie Van Halen" text. Professionally framed and matted display of one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
