8-5/8x12x4" deep box contains large 10.75" long hard plastic futuristic design gun by Webb Electric Co. 1950s. Gun was produced in three colors (red/yellow/green), this is yellow. Raised "Atom-Buster" text on both sides of barrel and "Webb" maker's name on grips. Gun comes w/thin paper target w/atomic mushroom cloud image that is attached to cardboard frame. These were easily destroyed from gun use, but this example shows only lt. handling wear and a .5" tear at top. VF. Also come w/original instruction sheet. Gun works by pulling handle on back of gun, retracting interior thin rubber bellows, which is then released by pulling trigger, causing rush of air to exit barrel. The bellows have slightly hardened w/age, showing discoloration and scattered cracks. Because of this, gun no longer works as designed. As condition issue is w/interior of gun, outward appearance is unaffected and remains Exc. Box lid has two 2.25" corner splits and color rubs. Box bottom remains tight and is complete w/original cardboard insert. Fine. Great atomic age toy.
