Item Description
Lot of four, two 13.5x14.5" and two 11.5x14.5" artboards w/original pen and ink art by creator George Baker, who has signed at bottom of images. Art is for Harvey Publications "Harvey Hits - Sad Sack's Army Life" issues #55, 60, 67 and 70. Each artboard has 1961 or 1962 penciled date at top margin. Scenes include Sad Sack w/pot bellied stove under his coat, almost dropping large axe on Sarge, getting a tire around the neck instead of a lei in Hawaii and trying to net a butterfly, catching general instead. All images also feature dog "Muttsy" and Sarge. A few margin pencil notes. Image area will mat and frame to Exc. appearance. Well drawn and funny.
