Auction #207 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1234 in auction 207
Item Description
6" tall showing George Washington with a groom holding his horse's reins. This item is possibly as early as 1840 but definitely in the range of 1840-1860s. There were fire companies by this name in Philadelphia prior to 1840 and one was formed in Harrisburg Pennsylvania in 1841. Very light general age tone with pair of tiny straight pin holes near the top edge. Among the earliest fire ribbons we've seen.
