Undated but from the early 1900s. Four of these are about 9” tall while the fifth for the women’s branch of the group is about 7.5” tall and this one, the last in our photo, has some light general aging to the fabrics. All five pieces have a celluloid suspension and all five have a celluloid insert on the hanger. Most include designs of an eyeball, and additional symbols of the group. The third piece in our photo is shown from the reverse as all five of these have black/silver reverse for use at member funerals. It is also a duplicate of the second item in our photo. Issuers are in order of photo Sabel River, Nova Scotia. A pair from Mansfield, Ohio. Next is Van Hornesville, N.Y. The one for women has hanger “Rebekah I.O.O.F.” and this is from Aurora, Indiana. First three in our photo are NM displaying Mint. The fourth has light touches of wear but is VF. The fifth is VG. Elaborately constructed and beautiful emblems of a past phase of American life.
