Both are c. 1970. 12x16” stiff paper has action image in ballpoint pen and watercolor w/ Tarkenton in Giants #10 uniform about to pass ball. Second sheet is 8x11” w/mixed media scene of jai-alai players in action on court. Both are Exc., signed in ink at lower right. Tarkenton played for the Giants 1967-1971, then went on to the Vikings. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1986. Wonderful expressive originals by Sarnoff (1912-2000), a noted magazine and ad illustrator whose work includes “Jack The Ripper” w/dogs playing pool.
